We are committed to saturating our region with the Good News of Jesus and we know we share that commitment with many other ministries. We wanted to come alongside and partner with those ministries to support their Kingdom efforts because we believe that God is deeply and powerfully moving through those efforts. With that desire, grants were awarded to a number of partners to support them in this common mission.
Here is what UMAP shared about the grant that was awarded to them:
"UMAP (Urban Ministry Advancement Program) desires to offer educational enrichment opportunities for urban clergy. In advance of offering an AA degree in Bible, Theology, & Ministry we will be presenting a seminar series: “Thriving in Ministry” ahead of our official launch. This seminar series introducing UMAP to the community will utilize materials developed by Pete Scazzero as a part of the Emotionally Healthy Discipleship movement. The grant we have been provided will enable us to offer a small stipend to participant leaders who develop a plan for thriving in leadership."
