We are committed to saturating our region with the Good News of Jesus and we know we share that commitment with many other ministries. We wanted to come alongside and partner with those ministries to support their Kingdom efforts because we believe that God is deeply and powerfully moving through those efforts. With that desire, grants were awarded to a number of partners to support them in this common mission.
Here is what theWELL, Ebenezer Campus had to share about the gran that was awarded to them:
"At theWELL Buffalo’s Church Plant, our Ebenezer Campus, we have been serving our community for over 6 years. New ways to reach the lost and provide a safe environment to love, care for, evangelize, and disciple our neighbors will continue to grow through our outreachTEAM and their hearts for Jesus. Many of our outreach events have begun to involve and/or revolve around feeding our neighborhood meals as a footing to feed their souls. After providing groceries for over 300 households during the pandemic, experiencing firsthand the debilitating rising food costs, and seeing the hearts of the people soften on a full belly, we began to lean in to the need to feed. Since 2023 we have hosted six outreach events, specifically to feed our neighbors, among our other annual outreach events that have known to reach upwards of 600-700 individuals in one evening. We continue to see hearts softened and bellies full despite much of the preparation and cooking done off-site, an increasing challenge as we see our opportunities grow.
This year we have committed as an outreachTEAM to increase our reach and feed the need of our campus by equipping our facilities to serve in a larger capacity. With this financial blessing gained through the church of WNY, peace behind our personal burden of facility renovation has become attainable. We will be utilizing these funds to renovate our main service kitchen; it has been severely underused due to an unsafe and underequipped state. The work has begun in anticipation of completion by June’s end. A deadline is in place in hope to connect and host summer lunch programs for our neighborhood.
One church can change a neighborhood, but The Church can change the world. Many thanks to the leadership of Church of WNY for instilling hope through the interdenominational binding of pastors to saturate the home God has given us in Buffalo, NY all in the name of Jesus. To God be the Glory."
